日本媒體《讀賣新聞》報導,經營短影片分享應用程式「抖音(TikTok)」的日本分公司,長期向有影響力的多位推特用戶支付酬勞,將公司指定的影片假裝是一般分享的影片來介紹。平均每位「合作用戶」所介紹的影片達每年數千支,也有酬勞超過日幣 500 萬圓的案例。不揭示業配廣告而進行「秘密行銷」,其目的可能是為了增加抖音的使用者。而進行委託合作時隱藏公司名稱,假裝是廣告仲介公司、專員使用假名等可能是在避免發生糾紛時的麻煩。
